La Quintinye Vermouth Royal
La Quintinye vermouth is a tribute to the visionary French botanist Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie, who was commissioned by the Sun King Louis XIV to create the famous kitchen gardens at the Palace of Versailles in the 17th century. The vermouth comes directly from the heart of the royal wine-growing region of Charente, which was also the home of its namesake. The traditional liqueur wine of the region, the famous Pineau des Charentes, matured in oak barrels, plays a decisive role in the production of the three exceptional La Quintinye Vermouths (Rouge, Blanc, Extra Dry) from Maison Villevert.
The combination of fine wines from the French southwest, a fine blend of perfectly matched botanicals and - depending on the variety - red or white Pineau, creates elegant vermouths of unique quality and powerful taste. La Quintinye Vermouths are perfect as an aperitif, long drink or as the basis for many classic and creative cocktails.
